Children's Acting Classes
Theater Fun-Time - Ages 5-6 yrs
In this introductory level class, taught by professional teaching artist Stephen Kaiser, students play a wide range of fun theater games designed to reinforce lessons in positive peer dynamic, self-confidence, physical awareness and critical thinking. Students are encouraged to express their individuality as they take the stage to prepare for their Talent Show where friends and family are invited into the classroom to share in the fun.
"I feel it is most important to create a judgment free zone where students are free to express themselves and celebrate each other’s individuality. The rehearsal room is a wonderful place for lessons in acceptance, empathy and teamwork."
~Instructor, Stephen Kaiser
Ages 7-12 yrs
In this play creation class, taught by professional teaching artist Stephen Kaiser, students develop their own characters and create an original story based on their individual personalities. Designed as a fun introduction to the theatrical process, students practice positive peer dynamics, self-confidence, physical awareness and learn basic theater vocabulary as they embark on a theatrical adventure of their own making. Friends and family are invited to the superstar showcase at the end of each session to share the fun and be amazed by the unique story their little superstars have created.
"This is one of my favorite classes because all of the characters and storylines come directly from the students-and it’s amazing what they come up with! When students know their ideas are being heard and put to use-put directly into the show-they are instantly engaged. There is a sense of ownership. Students want to continue to create and rehearse because it’s theirs-it belongs to them."
~Instructor, Stephen Kaiser
