The Dance Program at PAN offers an array of classses for students and professional dancers to explore the diversity, power and grace of this art form.
Whether the student is dancing for health, fun and exercise, or seeking training as a foundation for performing, and the possibility of a professional career, PAN offers opportunities to achieve a wide range of goals.
Training in Ballet, Modern Dance, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Tap, Ballroom, Pilates and Yoga are offered to children, teens and adults at all levels. In addition, PAN offers the unique opportunity to study many ethnic dance forms including Flamenco, Middle Eastern, African, Afro-Haitian and Afro-Cuban Dance, Argentinian Tango, Peruvian Dance, Columbian Dance, Bachata, Capoeira, Liturgical Dance and Salsa -- all under one roof -- and with some of the finest instructors in their fields.
Special Workshops with Guest Artists, Scholarships and Internships are offered for students who wish to become more deeply involved. PAN has several resident Dance Companies that offer the students a closer relationship with the professional dance world, giving them opportunities to perform, as well as to work backstage in venues throughout South Florida. They may be part of production teams and work on costume, set and lighting design, as well as in the administrative and marketing aspects of various projects.
PAN's faculty is made up of professional dancers, working at the highest level in their fields, with some of the most accomplished companies in Florida the U.S. and Internationally. They emphasize correct training in technique and style, along with nurturing each student's full potential. PAN's teachers are skilled at bringing out the strengths and creativity of each of their students, while honing their ability to improve on any weaker areas or challenges. This is facilitated by our small class sizes. PAN's professional dancers also perform in PAN's In-Studio Performance Series, giving students and audiences the rare opportunity to see dancers and choreographers of the highest caliber in open rehearsals as well as in the intimate performances that PAN's Black Box Theater provides.
PAN also has several student companies, where students may perform throughout the community as well as in guest performances with our professional companies.
In its ever-evolving dance program, PAN consistently attracts new artists and teachers while giving a regular venue to our established artists. This makes a fertile environment for artistic growth and collaboration, where the art of dance thrives.
